Fleet operator can monitor carried cargo weight of vehicles equipped with axle load sensors. Mounting sensor on each axle of the vehicle is not always possible from technical point of view and is not economically feasible. Front axle load which is created by the weight of the driver's cabin and vehicle engine is insignificant comparing with rear axle (rear bogie) load created by the weight of the vehicle body (loading platform) and carried cargo. That is why a single sensor should be mounted on the most loaded axle.
