Carbon-CPU is employing cutting-edge biotechnology to convert food waste into the fatty acids needed in animal feed. Every year, the global food waste production amounts to over one billion tons. Despite its high organic content, most of this food waste is not used. The demand for fatty acids is much higher than the current supply, as the animal feed industry requires 500,000 tons while only 30,000 tons are being produced. Carbon-CPU seeks to bridge this gap by providing high-value bioproducts at a lower cost and with minimal environmental impact, as opposed to traditional chemical synthesis.
