Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) - Riyadh

On March 19th, 2007, the Council of Ministers approved the creation of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul). This action was in accordance with Article 20 of the Capital Market Law, which made Tadawul a joint stock company. As the only entity authorized to act as a Securities Exchange in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Tadawul is responsible for listing and trading securities, as well as for the deposit, transfer, clearing, settlement, and registry of ownership of securities traded on the Exchange. The Exchange's legal status, duties, and responsibilities are clearly outlined in the Capital Market Law, which was issued by Royal Decree Number (M/30) on June 16, 2003.
