• Provide support to manage Tourism & Heritage inspections activities with regulatory mechanisms and coordinate all compliance and enforcement activities
• Plan pro-active inspections to ensure on-going compliance with standards and codes.
• Review and provide input into strategic plans and ensure the alignment of his unit to the department plans, objectives, and vision.
• Advise to ensure compliance monitoring and enforcement activities are implemented equitably and without favour or prejudice
• Oversee the development and implementation of regulation tools and processes.
• Serve as a contact point for any external queries or appeals regarding compliance and enforcement decisions related to his unit.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with local and regulations and standards related to tourism, entertainment, and heritage and ensure that all activities adhere to these regulations.
• Develop inspection schedules for tourism and heritage facilities based on risk assessments,
• historical compliance data
• Generate comprehensive inspection reports with clear recommendations for improvements or compliance measures.
• Compliance Assistance: Offer guidance and support to tourism facilities & heritage sites operators to help them understand and implement necessary changes to meet regulatory requirements.

Bachelor's Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, event & entertainment management, Heritage sites management, or a related field (master's degree is preferred).
